KPS Composting
KPS Composting of Scaynes Hill operate a composting site in Pease Pottage.
The site is at Hardriding Farm, which is also the location of the Pease Pottage Car Boot Sale.
Small bags of compost from the site are on sale at KWG Town and Country Stores in Handcross.
Composting Materials and Charges
The following green garden materials are accepted for composting:
- grass cuttings
- hedge clippings
- branches, trunks and roots
KPS accepts materials from local businesses, such as tree surgeons and gardeners, but a charge will be made. Local residents are probably better off using the free council rubbish tip in Manor Royal, Crawley, or the council’s regular collection service.

Compost Heap in Handcross is not a composting site.
