The Dragon pub in Colgate was refurbished by its owners, Hall and Woodhouse, in 2015. Like the majority of coporate-owned pubs, it is now more like a restaurant than a traditional pub.

The Dragon pub is on Forest Road in Colgate:
By Car
From Pease Pottage, go through Colgate to the top of the hill, and you will see The Dragon pub on your left.
From Horsham or Crawley via the A264, turn off at the Faygate roundabout onto Tower Road. Continue to the end of Tower Road and you will see The Dragon straight ahead of you.
By Bus
There are two infrequent bus services to Colgate, one from Pease Pottage and one from Horsham. Although both pass right outside the Dragon pub, neither does so at convenient times for pub-goers:

Sadly, since 2010 both The Grapes in Pease Pottage and The Fountain in Handcross have been knocked down to make way for houses. The Cherry Tree in Faygate no longer exists, and the Royal Oak in Handcross closed in 2021.
