Finches Field
Finches Field is a playing field used by Pease Pottage Village Football Club and Crawley Wasps Football Club, as well as local dog-walkers and others.
Facilities
The ground contains a pavilion, several football pitches, and other open areas. The main football pitch has a small stand and two dug-out-style shelters, just visible in the picture above.
The pavilion is used occasionally as a social centre and as a polling station. There are plans to convert the pavilion into a village hall.
Location and Directions
Finches Field is on Old Brighton Road South.
- From the A23 and M23, follow the signs into the village.
- Immediately after you cross the bridge over the A23, and before you reach the Black Swan pub, the road swings round to the left. As it straightens up, take the road on the left. This is Old Brighton Road South.
- Finches Field is a few hundred yards along on the right, just after The Hemsleys housing estate.
